This is the post we’ve been looking forward to writing since we launched #FarmsustainaCooks. Welcome to the very first Community Harvest — our monthly roundup of the meals our community is making with Farmsustaina produce.
Every single submission we’ve seen so far has reminded us exactly why we grow food. You’re not just buying vegetables — you’re building something real in your kitchen, and you’re sharing it. That matters more than we can say.
How to be featured next month
It’s simple. Cook something with produce from our farm stand or CSA box. Photograph it — phone camera is perfect, no fancy equipment needed. Share it on Instagram or Facebook with #FarmsustainaCooks and tag @farmsustaina. We collect our favourites throughout the month and feature them here on the first Monday of each month.
Need some kitchen inspiration?
We’ve got you covered:
• Simple garlic sautéed swiss chard — 10 minutes, one pan, crowd-pleasing every time.
• What to do with a full CSA box this week — zero waste ideas for everything in the box.
• Grain bowls, refrigerator pickles, chimichurri, one-pan roasts — it’s all in there.
What’s in season right now
This week at the Good Hope Farm stand: Swiss chard, green beans, cucumbers, seasonal greens, and fresh herbs. Check our Facebook page for this week’s availability and stand hours. Spring is moving quickly toward summer and the produce is changing week to week — what you cook this weekend may be unlike anything you’ve made before.
Thank you
To everyone who has stopped by the stand, ordered a CSA box, tagged us in a meal, or simply shared our posts with a friend in Cary — thank you. Small farms survive because communities choose to show up. You’re the reason Farmsustaina is here.
